THE HOSPITAL SOLAR DIAGNOSTIC

From electricity bills
to board-ready decisions.

A structured assessment of your hospital’s readiness, options, suppliers, and evidence, led by Andrie Udal, Director of Hospital Solar Intelligence and AI.

THE HOSPITAL SOLAR DIAGNOSTIC METHOD

Five stages. A clear decision trail.

Diagnose

Review bills, operating patterns, outages, generator use, and critical-load information.

You receiveEnergy baseline & information gaps

Qualify

Assess budget, approval authority, procurement requirements, timeline, and project readiness.

You receiveReadiness assessment & next steps

Prescribe

Develop options with clear assumptions and questions for licensed engineering review.

You receiveOptions brief & validation requirements

Present

Compare costs, savings estimates, suppliers, equipment, warranties, financing, and risks.

You receiveBoard report & comparison matrix

Prove

Agree how measured generation, savings, availability, and generator use will be compared with expectations.

You receiveMeasurement plan & scoped performance report

Final system sizing, electrical and structural design, safety, and commissioning require appropriately licensed professionals. Performance reporting depends on an agreed scope and access to operating data.

WHAT WE COMPARE

The full proposal, in context.

01

Hospital energy & continuity

Electricity use, outages, generator runtime and fuel, critical loads, backup arrangements, and installation constraints.

02

Equipment & technical scope

Proposed capacity, panel and inverter models, battery options, design assumptions, exclusions, and questions for engineering review.

03

Suppliers & delivery

Relevant completed-project evidence, credentials, local service, permits, commissioning, warranties, and maintenance responsibilities.

04

Costs & financing

Upfront and ongoing costs, taxes, payment terms, ownership, escalation, financing assumptions, and exit obligations.

05

Generation & savings

Expected generation, self-consumption, export assumptions, tariff sensitivity, operating changes, and the basis of each estimate.

06

Performance evidence

Agreed baseline, data access, reporting period, generation, availability, measured bill effects, generator use, and impact assumptions.

PROVE: MEASUREMENT BY AGREEMENT

Set the baseline before measuring success.

Performance reporting is scoped around available meter, inverter, bill, outage, and generator records. Agree the baseline, reporting period, data owner, and review responsibilities before installation.

Reports distinguish projected from measured results and explain changes in tariffs, weather, operating patterns, and system availability where data permits. Environmental estimates identify their calculation method and assumptions. Current system operation cannot be inferred from historical installation evidence.

Solar generation alone does not establish backup capability. Qualified engineers must assess islanded operation, storage, protection, controls, and integration with existing generators and UPS systems against critical-load requirements.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST CONVERSATION

Start with the information you have.

Your energy profile

Prepare 12 months of electricity bills, available daytime demand data, outages, generator use, and backup arrangements.

Your site and project

Bring available roof or parking plans, existing proposals, goals, and timing. Licensed professionals will assess site suitability.

Your decision process

Identify the project contact, budget approach, decision authority, and procurement requirements. No patient information is needed.

We will agree the scope, fees, referral disclosures, and an appropriate document-transfer process before collecting detailed records.
