SOLARMD | HOSPITAL SOLAR DIAGNOSTIC CHECKLIST Philippines | www.solarmd.net | hello@solarmd.net Method: Diagnose, Qualify, Prescribe, Present, Prove. Research leadership: Andrie Udal, PhD, MSHDS Director of Hospital Solar Intelligence and AI Use this checklist before requesting solar proposals. Begin with the information you have; your first enquiry does not require every document. 1. HOSPITAL AND PROJECT CONTACT [ ] Hospital name and project contact's role, email and phone [ ] Barangay, city/municipality, province and distribution utility [ ] Project goals, decision-makers and intended timeline 2. ELECTRICITY USE [ ] Last 12 months of bills: monthly kWh, peso cost and demand charges [ ] Available interval or daytime electricity consumption data [ ] Major loads, operating hours and planned facility expansion 3. SITE INFORMATION [ ] Available roof or parking plans and approximate dimensions [ ] Known roof age, condition, shading and access constraints [ ] Ownership or permission to use the proposed installation area [ ] Available electrical plans for review by qualified professionals [ ] Arrange a professional site and structural assessment before final sizing 4. CONTINUITY AND BACKUP [ ] Existing generator, UPS and battery capacities and arrangements [ ] Critical loads and required backup duration, reviewed with facility staff [ ] Installation scheduling constraints and acceptable shutdown windows [ ] Ask how solar, batteries and generators will coordinate during outages 5. COMPARE EVERY PROPOSAL ON THE SAME BASIS [ ] Solar capacity, expected generation and underlying assumptions [ ] Panel/inverter models; battery usable capacity if proposed [ ] Total peso cost, VAT, permits, exclusions and payment terms [ ] Savings assumptions, self-consumption and utility export arrangements [ ] Financing or ownership terms, responsibilities and total cost [ ] Project references, professional credentials and local service coverage [ ] Written equipment/workmanship warranties and response commitments [ ] Commissioning, monitoring, maintenance and performance reporting 6. PERFORMANCE EVIDENCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES [ ] Agree baseline, reporting period, meter/inverter access and data owner [ ] Distinguish projected from measured savings and generation [ ] Track outage hours, downtime, generator runtime and fuel consumption [ ] Record weather, tariff and operating changes where data permits [ ] Identify author, source dates, technical reviewer and outstanding approvals [ ] Confirm SolarMD scope, fees, payer and any supplier/referral arrangements QUESTIONS TO ASK - What site information supports the proposed system size and savings? - What happens during a grid outage, and which loads can remain supplied? - Who handles permits, utility coordination and commissioning? - What is excluded from the price, and who provides after-sales support? Share business and energy information only. Do not send patient information. Before sharing bills or plans, redact unrelated personal or payment details and agree on an appropriate way to transfer project documents. Start your enquiry: https://www.solarmd.net/#contact
